What challenges did you have before you started with SalesRX?

My name is Phil Jones, and I work for AGCO Corporation. We are in the farm equipment business and had been trying to implement the pull strategy.

We wanted to get people into showrooms and buy, and I think that's where our dealers needed some help because they are not great retailers or merchandisers. 

There was a gap in the dealers’ ability to manage sales interactions as they should be, and that is where Bob helped us.

Together we worked on building soft skills and techniques for engaging customers. It is all about successfully building trust, upselling, cross-selling, and several other things.

What have you been able to achieve since using SalesRX?

Another aspect of the relationship with Bob that I should mention is how he has helped me target specific dealers to improve their showrooms.

We did a makeover for a dealership in New York. They are a good, hardworking dealer who does a lot of volume. However, their showroom and facility needed some work.

Bob was able to tell the dealer that his showroom needed some work in a diplomatic way. Bob has a particular style that resonates with dealers.

In a non-threatening way, he helps them understand they need to change and that we are here to help them. The results speak for themselves because this particular project ended beautifully.

Were you able to grow sales for specific dealers?

The business has been growing; we have done close to double the amount of sales in the last three to four years.

What was it like to partner with SalesRX?

One of the things that makes SalesRX a good fit for me personally is that Bob is easy to work with. He is just a good guy!

Would you recommend SalesRX?

I suspect that there are a lot of businesses out there that are like us. Often they lack some of the skills that Bob’s training brings. I find myself recommending Bob Phibbs to other businesses for this reason. 

I think SalesRX could benefit retailers of all types. I see an application of this training in consumer durables, equipment, or any number of different lines. Bob brings an outside perspective on customer interactions in an objective and thoughtful way.
